HI, I'M DANIELLE

I am a Connecticut based photographer passionate about capturing genuine emotion.  I love, love, love  natural light, golden hour and images that tell a story.  Whether it’s your wedding day or a growing family, I strive to make your time with me feel effortless and authentic always.  I love traveling and will photograph anywhere and everywhere.

My Story

I first fell in love with photography in my high school darkroom, shooting on film and watching my  images slowly appear on paper floating in developer.  That love deepened throughout my studies in fine art photography at SVA, R.I.T., and Fordham University at Lincoln Center, where I earned my BA.

My early career began in photojournalism — working for a daily newspaper taught me how to anticipate a moment without interrupting it.  That instinct still guides me today. In 2009, I started my own business, combining documentary storytelling with a lifestyle approach that celebrates real emotion and genuine people.  While I do love documenting flickering candles and gorgeous floral arrangements, it's telling a  human  story that I am most passionate about.

I live in Norwalk, CT with my daughter Zoey (as well as our dog and cat).  In my free time I love being outdoors, long walks, music (lots and lots of music), dancing, spending time with family, cooking and reading.  I love traveling and when I am not doing the day to day, I like to think of my self as a free spirit.   I think that very much translates in my approach to photography - I am very easy going and go with the flow.  I have an alter ego as well as - think wrangling family members for formal photos during a cocktail hour - I can be assertive at the same time.  Maybe it's the Gemini in me... who knows, but having both skill sets allows me the space to really read a room and jump in to take control when needed.  I also have very curly hair, which is a blessing and a curse - you can definitely find me in a crowd though!

If any of this resonates with you, get in touch.  I can't wait to hear from you!

Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember — but it's never stopped feeling like magic. I truly love what I do. If something about my work feels like home, I’d love to connect.
